Whether you’re a Pats fan, Giants fan, or just in town to watch what is sure to be an amazing game, you’re probably in need of some tips on stuff to do and places to go in downtown Indianapolis. We recently spent a significant amount of time selflessly eating and drinking our way through the city to bring you some of the best unbiased info you’ll find. Starting today and going through Sunday, we’ll highlight a different recommendation. Today we put the spotlight on:
Slippery Noodle Inn
372 S Meridian Street
The oldest bar in Indianapolis, they have live blues every night. It’s just down the street from the stadium, AND it’s historical so really, what’s not to love? The place is huge, with a nice little bar area, a separate dining room, and a separate room with foosball, darts, and arcade games. It’s a little divey, but in a good way. This place is definitely a standout and not something we expected to find in Indianapolis.
As for food, it’s mostly bar food like wings and burgers, although dinner entrees include items like Filet Mignon, Breaded Grouper, and pasta dishes.
