Best Super Bowl XLVI Bars & Restaurants: Day 2

Whether you’re a Pats fan, Giants fan, or just in town to watch what is sure to be an amazing game, you’re probably in need of some tips on stuff to do and places to go in downtown Indianapolis. We recently spent a significant amount of time selflessly eating and drinking our way through the city to bring you some of the best unbiased info you’ll find. Yesterday we highlighted the oldest bar in the city – Slippery Noodle Inn (read about that HERE). Today we put the spotlight on one of the oldest restaurants in the city:

St. Elmo’s Steakhouse
127 S Illinois St
Phone: 317-687-9162

With a menu of high quality steaks, chops, seafood and a LEGENDARY shrimp cocktail, this is a must stop in Indianapolis. It has a classy, upscale environment  and is definitely the best place to go for a really nice meal and a great bottle of wine. Don’t look at the prices, it doesn’t matter. It’s simply a downtown Indy old-school staple. Seriously, get the shrimp cocktail. Don’t ask questions, just do it.
