The Arena and Neighborhood:
Power Balance Pavilion (formerly ARCO Arena) is located in the northwestern area of Sacramento known as Natomas. One of the oldest in the league (it's been around since 1988) the arena is also the smallest in terms of seating capacity. Natomas was once a totally isolated area but since the 1990s, there has been some residential and business development in North Natomas due to the arena's presence. Unfortunately, downtown Sacramento is about 6 miles to the south and there is still not a ton of exciting things nearby.
Getting There/Parking:
While it will most likely be a bit of a drive, the arena is right off two freeways. You can take Interstate 5 to Del Paso Road or take Interstate 80 to Truxel Road. Parking available on all sides of Power Balance Pavilion except for the North side. The cost for general parking at all Sacramento Kings games is $10 and is cash only.
Public transportation is available by bus on the Sacramento Regional Transit District. If you're coming from downtown you'll take at least 2 different busses and it will be close to an hour or more plus a half mile walk for the last part, so ride at your own risk. For schedules and information, visit the Sacramento Regional Transit District Web sit HERE.
If you're in a big group, there's also the Sacramento Kings party bus. Avoid the traffic and parking fees and schedule a few extra hours for a tailgate party or bar stop. The bus will pick you and your friends up at your meeting place and take you to and from the game. Prices vary but check out the website here: http://www.sacpartybus.com/sacramento-events.html
