The Stadium:
Despite what you may think about the basketball school avatar, University of Kentucky boasts a stellar winning record and the claims to “Most Recent SEC Stadium Built,” which is pretty cool. Kentucky, as of 2011, is planning on implementing not one, but two scoreboards, that will collectively combine to be one of the biggest scoreboarding systems in the country. Hey, if you can’t beat em’ combine two scoreboards to be cooler than theirs, right? Hell yea.
Pre and Post Game:
There are a couple of free parking garages on campus, and you can either walk 15-20 minutes to the stadium, or hop on a $2 shuttle that begins 2 hours prior to kickoff and starts again in the 4th quarter. There is also an off-campus shuttle that begins 3 hours prior to kickoff and costs $5 round trip. It stops at the Civic Center, Transit Center, and Ramsey's Diner, so look for the parking icons on our "Before & After the Game" map for exact locations of lots and pick up spots or check the UK shuttle website HERE.
UK Campus is on the edge of downtown Lexington, with the stadium itself a couple miles south. We have a ton of fan recommended bars and restaurants on our map, so be sure to check them out. From favorite college bars like Two Keys Tavern to great whiskey bars like The Horse & Barrel to amazing Cajun Creole food at Bourbon N' Toulouse, the surrounding neighborhoods have a lot to offer.
