The Stadium and Neighborhood:
Open since 1999, Conseco Fieldhouse recently becamse Bankers Life Fieldhouse, and was ranked Number 1 NBA venue in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
Just South of downtown, the stadium is within walking distance of dozens of bars and restaurants, and and not far from Indiana University-Purdue. Check our "Before & After the Game" section for some specific recommendations for pre and post game activities, most of which will be on or around Illionois and Meridien Streets. Some of the closer bars such as Kilroy's will be jam packed on game day, so don't be afraid to venture a block or two further away to any of our other recommendations if you want to grab a seat without a 2 hour wait.
Driving and Parking:
Accessible from I-70 or I-65, Bakers Life Fieldhouse is fairly easy to get to. Since it is right downtown, traffic will be a bit congested. Depending on the game, parking prices range from $5-20 and parking is on a first-come first-served basis. There are a lot of private lots downtown and quite a few are able to be booked right online through our affiliate Parkwhiz, so look for those icons on our exterior map. Denison Parking at 121 E. Maryland Street or Merchants Garage at 31 S. Meridian Street are both around $10 and can be booked in advance online.
If it's a Sunday game, you can probably find free street parking if you arrive early. Try north on Capitol Ave and even as far north as New York Street. Plenty of bars and restaurants will be between this parking area and the stadium, so you won't even notice the mile walk to the stadium.
Public Transportation:
It is possible to take the bus to the game and it's $1.75 one way. For more info go to indygo.net or visit their trip planner page HERE.
