Inside the Stadium:

Opened in 2001 as Invesco Field at Mile High, the replacement for the old Mile High Stadium delibrately kept many of the unique features of the original. The horeshoe shape of the upper bowl and Bucky the Bronco - the 1,600 lb 27-ft tall horse gracing the scoreboard are just a couple of examples. Stadium traditions from the old Mile High are still popular such as the "South Stands" - where the loudest and most loyal Broncos fans congregate. So if you're wearing an opposing team's jersey, we recommend staying clear from that area.

One thing you might want to check out if you have time is The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Museum located at Gate 1 on the west side of the stadium. Admission is free unless you want a tour. The museum honors many athletes including Sportswomen of Colorado and 24 inductees in the Gallery of Legends. There's also a Kids' Zone - an interactive exhibit for young fans.

Seating:

If you're on a upper level, you'll get to enjoy some phenomal views. The United Club Level is open only to those ticket holders. They aren't all private suites, but club seats are wider with cup-holders and fans have use of private escalators and elevators, and two club lounges with impressive views of both the city skyline and the Rockies. If you have a club level ticket, enter through gates 2 or 7. Level 4 Suites are exactly one mile above sea level.

If you're on Level 5, you'll get a chance to check out the Ring of Fame honoring former players and administrators.

Food and Drink:

While not exactly cheap, concession prices at Mile High are lower that many other NFL stadiums. There's plenty of standard fare like hot dogs that won't cost you much - and the chili fries are pretty darn good. Colorado Fare stands in the 131-133 sections offer items from some of Colorado's finest caterers and restaurants, and you will find Mexican tamales and burritos at numerous Red Zones/Jalapeno Heaven stands.

Behind Secton 116 is Xfinity Cafe with a full bar and large HD TVs.

If you're on the Club Level, there are 2 Market at Mile High stands that will make you pizza, calzones, and toasted sandwiches to order, and Kickers serves up a variety of frozen margaritas.

The Stadium and Neighborhood:

Just when we got used to calling it Invesco Field, they changed it once again. Sports Authority Field at Mile High (we'll just call it Mile High) is fairly centrally located and easily accessible along I-25 near Colfax and 17th Street exits in Denver's Sun Valley neighborhood. The Sun Valley area is not really the best Denver has to offer in terms of activities pre or post game but luckily, LoDo (lower downtown) is not too far away, just on the other side of I-25. LoDo is home to the Rockies' Coors Field and several great places like a few breweries and restaurants on or near Blake and Market Streets which you can check out, or Lola Restaurant is about 1.5 miles away and has a pretty great happy hour. Parking:

Cash lots are available and range between $20-30. Space is limited right at Mile High, but there is additional parking at the Pepsi Center and Auraria Campus to the East of the stadium.

Central Parking has a lot across the street and you can book it through Parkwhiz, however, it's a bit on the pricey side - usually around $64. Yikes.

Public Transportation:

We suggest taking RTD's Bus or Light Rail which have service right at Mile High, and is nowhere near as expensive as parking costs. The C and E lines stop at Mile High Station and the D and H lines transfer to C or E lines at I-25 & Broadway or 10th & Osage Stations.

RTD's BroncosRide bus will pick you up from many bus stops or Park-n-Ride stations (there are over 80 of them and many are free). As part of that service, the Federal Shuttle and Market Street Station Shuttle (no parking here) operate every 3-5 minutes starting 2 hours before kickoff. For more info visit HERE.
