The Arena and Neighborhood:
Pepsi Center (aka The Can) opened in 1999 and is also home to NHL's Avalanche. The arena is fairly centrally located and easily accessible along I-25 and I-70. The neighborhood known as LoDo (lower downtown) is not too far away, just on the other side of Speer Blvd. LoDo is home to the Rockies' Coors Field and several great places like a few breweries and restaurants on or near Blake and Market Streets. Check our "Before & After the Game" exterior map for these and other suggestions for pre or post game places to hit up.
Parking:
There are about 4500 spaces right at the Pepsi Center and more at Auraria Campus jsut on the other side of Auraria Pkway, and prices will vary. Central Parking has a lot across the street as does Northern Trust Bank Garage (at 1600 Market St - usually around $15), which you can book through our affiliate Parkwhiz. WE do recommend taking public transpo but if you really want to drive, look for the parking icon on our map, where you can book a spot right from your computer or phone.
Along the 16th Street Mall you'll find quite a few lots and you can then hop on the free MallRide shuttle. Someof our recommended pre or post game bars and restaurants are along the way. For more info on that shuttle you can visit HERE.
Public Transportation:
We suggest taking RTD's Bus or Light Rail which have service right at the arena, and is nowhere near as expensive as parking costs. The Pepsi Center Elitch Gardens Station is serviced by the C and E lines. Visit HERE for more detailed info on Denver's public transportation system.
