The Stadium and Neighborhood:
Open since 2005 Time Warner Cable Arena (formerly Charlotte Bobcats Arena) is located in Charlotte's Center City, also known as Uptown, not far from the Panthers' Bank of America Stadium. Technically in the Third Ward of Uptown, it shares this diverse, charming, streetcar neighborhood with Gateway Village, The Mint Museum, and a Modern Art Museum. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels in the immediate vicinity, making it a perfect location for pre or post game activities. Be sure to check out our "Before & After the Game" section for some restaurant and bar suggestions nearby. The EpiCentre is across the street and is home to many shops, restaurants, and nightlife.
Getting There/Parking:
Located just off both I-277 and I-77, access to the stadium by car is very easy. It's surrounded by parking lots and garages, with nearly 30,000 off-street spaces within a 15 minute walk. A couple lots can be booked right online through us and our affiliate Parkwhiz, so look for the parking icons on our map.
Public Transportation:
The Charlotte Area Transit System is also a good way to get to the game. The LYNX Blue Line offers convenient light-rail service between uptown Charlotte and I-485 at South Boulevard. Parking is available at 7 park and ride lots along the line, and take the train to Trade Street Station right at the arena. For more detialed info on riding LYNX, click HERE.
